As we head into the subdued time known as the Three Weeks, rabbis and educators may look for a way to recall the glory of the Beit HaMikdash and display a small model in their classroom, institution or home. Below are two resources that can help you to do so.

  1. Here is a free model template from Chabad. The model reflects the basic layout and structure of the Beit HaMikdash and looks very nice. Please note: this is not a model of the First Beit HaMikdash but a version of the Second Beit HaMikdash. The First Beit HaMikdash was quite different.
  2. JBrick.com has an amazing version of the Second Beit HaMikdash. The price is not cheap (you may even want to solicit a sponsor). Still, you and your students will truly feel as if you are bringing The House down and it will be an incredible bonding and educational experience and activity. What is outstanding about this kit is that it is very accurately detailed and is actually scaled 1/613!

We hope you find these resources helpful. Please check out our many free online resources for The Three Weeks, 17th of Tamuz, and The 9th of Av.
