The Amud Aish Memorial Museum and Kleinman Holocaust Education Center have launched their 2017 Student Contest: “Born to Live: Remembering the Children of the Holocaust.”

The contest includes a curated collection of six items that belonged to children who left their homes to escape Nazi persecution and portrays the Holocaust through the eyes of children who survived. Artifacts and letters are preserved and accessible, giving us insight into the fragility of their worlds and the potential of each and every individual. Students are invited to participate by submitting either a written or visual arts response to one of the artifacts.

We present this program as a memory to the children who were murdered during the Holocaust and as a means to inspire our readers to fulfill the potential in their own lives.

Winners will receive valuable Visa Gift Cards as prizes! Eighteen prizes will be offered this year. The grand prize for each grade level is $150. Second place winners will receive $72 and Third place winners will receive $25. The first 80 participating teachers will receive a free copy of “The Youngest Partisan” by A. Romi Cohn.

Submission deadline is March 15, 2017. For more details please click here
